The belt is attached to the tree trunk or thick branches using the easy fastening mechanism, and the slack in the rope is taken up with the tractor. When the PTO is engaged, the machine shakes the tree effectively, causing the fruit to detach from the branches and fall. Shaking force and speed can be adjusted from the tractor.

Considering that a worker can shake only 2–3 walnut trees in 8 hours depending on tree size, the machine's ability to shake a tree in 15 seconds provides significant time and labor savings.
